Taking into account the fact that Pixar has never released more than one feature film per year, 2012’s privilege of three films from the animation studio is quite special. Yes, both Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. are being re-released in 3D and are not brand new films, but having the chance to take in classic Pixar films on the big screen is a wonderful opportunity. Disney/Pixar has just released the new trailer advertising the 3D re-release of Monsters, Inc., which you can watch in HD after the break!
Sneak Peek: ‘Monsters, Inc. 3D’ Theatrical Poster
Finding Nemo 3D is still a few weeks away from release in North America, but Monsters, Inc. 3D is not too far behind. Last month, Disney bumped up the release of the original Monsters film, claiming December for its new month of release – that puts the film just under four months away. You likely will not see posters for Monsters in theater lobbies until Nemo has arrived, but we have a sneak peek at the poster you will be seeing. Take a look at the great poster after the break!
‘Monsters, Inc. 3D’ Now Set For Release In December
Did you ever think there would be a year where we would see three Pixar feature films hit theaters? 2012 seems to be the answer…well, kind of. Disney and Pixar are re-releasing Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. in 3D, and while Nemo is still sitting on its September release, there are now reports that Disney has pushed Monsters, Inc 3D up from 2013 into 2012. ‘Monsters, Inc.’ and ‘Finding Nemo’ Being Re-Released In 3D
Disney has just issued a press release announcing that they will be re-releasing several of its films in 3D over the coming years. The films that have been confirmed for release are Beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., and The Little Mermaid. Late in 2009, Disney found success with the double-feature release of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D.
