Although Pixar worked on a number of projects prior to 1995, it was the release of their first feature film, Toy Story, that launched the studio onto the path which made Pixar into one of the world’s most recognizable brands. First Details: New ‘Toy Story’ Christmas Special Coming This Year
Back in October last year, ABC aired the first ever television special from Pixar, Toy Story OF TERROR!, which allowed us the most time with the great toy characters than we’ve been afforded since the release of Toy Story 3. The animation studio had delivered several humorous Toy Story shorts, but after spending just a few minutes with Woody, Buzz, Rex, and the rest of the gang, you were left wanting more. The special provided that without infringing on the toes of the feature film trilogy. ABC has now announced that a Toy Story Christmas special is coming later this year. Photos From ‘Brave’ World Premiere At The Dolby Theatre
The world premiere of Brave, Pixar’s latest feature-length film, was held last night in Hollywood, California. Members of the Pixar production staff turned out to celebrate the imminent release of the film. The premiere was held at the Dolby Theatre, which had its grand re-opening, after the sound company took over the naming rights from Kodak. Four ‘Brave’ Character Posters, New Details Revealed
This morning, Entertainment Weekly posted four exclusive Brave character posters, featuring several of the main players from Pixar’s highly anticipated new film. The four hi-res posters feature Princess Merida, her parents Queen Elinor and King Fergus, her similarly red-haired brothers, and Lords of the Kingdom. New ‘Brave’ Character Descriptions Revealed
The official website for Brave was updated today with new images and downloads. Along with the stunning images which will likely be the wallpapers for many desktops and smartphones now, the site also gives us the first descriptions for the various characters in the film. The film’s plot and characters have been shrouded in secrecy, with the teaser and trailer focusing on mostly first-act details. Now, we can understand the characters just a little more. New ‘Brave’ Trailer Has Its Eyes Set On Thursday
It is that time of year again – when Pixar employees are scrambling to finish their summer film. Considering the fact that Pixar films are developed over the course of four years or more, the finish line must loom over the studio for the final few months. Game Cards Give Us A Closer Look At ‘Brave’ Characters
Aside from Brave‘s main character, Merida, we have not learned much about the characters in the upcoming film. New Brave Still Features Redheads Galore
With the calendar turning over to 2012, Pixar’s efforts are now fully set on completing Brave for its release in the summer. The film is the first from the studio to feature a female protagonist, which has the public anticipating it even more. Amidst a preview of the upcoming films of the year, a new still has been released today by USA Today (via ComingSoon). The redheaded Princess Merida and her family are seated around a table and once again, her mother the Queen, seems to be looking on disapprovingly. Kevin McKidd and Kelly Macdonald Discuss Voicing Characters In Brave
Over the past few days, new interviews have emerged with two of the actors who have substantial roles in Pixar’s upcoming film, Brave. Star Kelly Macdonald, who is voicing main character Merida, and Kevin McKidd, voice of Lord MacGuffin and Young MacGuffin, both spoke with The Press Association about how it has been working on a film made by Pixar.
