Two-disc Special Edition (Released in 2002)
- Paper Airplane: Open the special features from the humans section, and in the middle of all the selections there is a paper airplane looping. Move your selection to that plane, and click on it to get extra features. (via www.dvdeastereggs.com)
- Original Trailer: On Disc 2 if you select the right door, The Monster World, and then move the cursor to the top menu selection, then right you will select the ‘Eye’ logo to the right. Press your Enter button and the International trailer will play. (via www.hiddendvdeastereggs.com)
- 7 More Doors: On the 2nd disc, go through the the door marked ‘Humans Only’. Next, select ‘Production Tour’. Jump ahead to chapter 7 by either watching all 6 chapters, or by manually advancing your player using the ‘next chapter’ button. Your player should then jump to title 9. Behind the 7 doors: John Lassader and Darla Anderson congratulate the viewer for finding an Easter Egg. They then welcome the viewer to look at some drawings of possible uses for Pixar’s atrium; other doors include: a gag by the chimp, the ‘tie’ animation test, Mike scaring the kid in bed, an outtake, the DVD credits, another outtake. - Monster Fun! Insert disc 2 and go through the door marked ‘Monsters Only.’ On the next screen underneath ‘New Monster Adventures’ there should be an arrow pointing to the right. Make sure it is highlighted and press right on your remote to highlight the ‘eye’ in the Monsters, Inc. logo. Press ENTER to play an animation gag reel. (via www.eegs.com)
