First: New Video Details Pixar’s Collaboration On Cars 2 Video Game
I am excited to bring you a new behind-the-scenes video on “Cars 2: The Video Game,” which we are exclusively debuting alongside our fellow Pixar blogs. The video details just how involved Pixar was with the development of the game. I have written extensively about the strong partnership between Pixar and Avalanche, the developer of the game. As you will see in the video, Pixar brought Avalanche in very early in the production of Cars 2, so the film and the game evolved alongside each other. Pixar employees such as Story Supervisor Nathan Stanton, Animator Adam Burke, and Supervising Technical Director Apurva Shah were all on-board in helping extend Pixar’s vision into the video game world. Game Review: Cars 2 Video Game
Hearing that there would be a Cars 2 video game, it was not difficult to imagine where developer Avalanche Software would take it. They could have simply churned out a little racing game and walked away with some easy money in their pockets. However, sitting down and playing thoroughly through it, it is apparent that Avalanche put in a good deal of work to make this not only a creative racing game, but one that has huge replay value due to its awesome multiplayer modes and just how much damn fun it is. Cars 2 Video Game Available Now

It is a big week for Pixar and Disney. Not only is Cars 2 coming this Friday, the video game for the film was just released today! So get your gaming keyboards and consoles all set as the game is available for almost every platform out there – XBox 360, Wii, Playstation 3, DS, PC and MAC. I am currently playing through every nook and cranny of the game and will have a review up soon. Right now, I can say that the game is loads of fun, especially in multiplayer mode. Disney and Pixar worked really hard on this game and taking your first spin around the track really helps you see that. E3: Disney Universe Trailer, Images Showcase Monsters, Inc. World
In conjunction with E3, the biggest gamer event of the year, Disney Interactive has released a brand new trailer and many new images from the upcoming “Disney Universe” game for the XBox 360, Wii, Playstation 3, and PC/MAC. It is the first game ever to integrate the worlds and characters of Pixar with Disney live-action and animated films. Players don costumes inspired by famous characters from film universes such as Monsters, Inc. and Alice In Wonderland and can choose to help each other or insert a bit of competition. Disney Interactive has just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Cars 2 video game. Entitled “The Elite,” the trailer is the most action-packed look at the game yet! Who are these elite characters? Why, they would be Finn McMissile, Holley Shiftwell, and…Mater? Well, you shouldn’t count the tow truck out, as you will see that he truly can go toe-to-toe with Finn and Holley (sort of) when they are in the world of C.H.R.O.M.E., the spy organization that trains its members using simulated missions. A few days ago, Disney Interactive released a clip of a teaser trailer for “Disney Universe,” a game that takes characters on a ride through the worlds of Disney and Pixar. On Tuesday, Disney unveiled a new teaser trailer for the upcoming game, “Disney Universe.” While the title alerts us to the fact that various characters from animated Disney films will be joining in on the fun, the surprise here is that Pixar characters will be mixing it up as well!
