Watch Forky Come To Life In New ‘Toy Story 4’ Commercial

In all of the Toy Story films, we have seen toys come to life – Woody, Jessie, Buzz, and Bo Peep all came alive when Andy or other humans were not around. What do all of these toys have in common? They were manufactured by companies and bought in toy stores. Toy Story 4 is about to blow that concept wide open as we learn that, in the film, Bonnie creates a toy and it comes to life! It sounds a bit unnerving. Watch the birth of this character and see him come alive after the jump. [Read more…]

New ‘Toy Story 4’ TV Ad Is A Perfect Homage To Classic Toy Commercials

When Toy Story 3 saw release in 2010, the marketing for the film included commercials that were pitch perfect homages to toy commercials from the 80s and 90s. The ads were not only incredibly creative but were also very funny. You know what they say – “if it ain’t broke…”. The Toy Story 4 marketing team just released a new TV spot that seeks to recreate some of the success of the previous film’s pre-release excitement. [Read more…]

‘Toy Story 4’ Director Josh Cooley Found Inspiration in ‘Indiana Jones’

Inspiration is powerful – you develop a connection with something and it drives you and influences your work. Many creatives often point to characters or moments in Pixar films as a source of inspiration for them. Still, the filmmakers who made those films were also inspired by other pieces of art. Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley is one of those filmmakers, and for his film, he points to Indiana Jones as a major inspiration. [Read more…]

I Am Excited and Nervous To Watch ‘Toy Story 4’

I Am Excited and Nervous To Watch ‘Toy Story 4’

Toy Story 3 ended on a perfect note. Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the gang endured an incredible journey as they prepared to leave Andy forever. To this day, the thought of Andy giving away his prized possessions, the toys that he cared for (and little did he know they also cared for him) and grew up with, gives me goosebumps. The film was capped with Andy handing his toys off to Bonnie, one of the most heartfelt moments to grace any film in the last 10 years. Now, here we are, almost 10 years later and we are on the verge of Toy Story 4. [Read more…]

‘Toy Story 4’ Officially Announced, Heading To Theaters In 2017

The Toy Story franchise is perhaps Pixar’s most important franchise. After all, it was the original Toy Story that launched the animation studio into the spotlight. In 2010, 15 years after the first film, Toy Story 3 concluded the trilogy, and was only the third ever animated film nominated for a Best Picture Oscar. In the years since, we have seen a mixture of Toy Story shorts and TV specials, but the question of whether we would ever see a fourth film remained. That has been answered today, as Toy Story 4 has been officially announced. Find more details after the break! [Read more…]

Why The Rumor That ‘Toy Story 4’ Is Coming In 2015 Must Be False

After the Toy Story trilogy was neatly wrapped up, many have wondered if Pixar would release a fourth film even though Andy’s story had come to an end. Rumors have been swirling ever since the third film was nearing completion and making its way to theaters, as the press often questioned director Lee Unkrich and others on the prospects of another follow-up. Back in 2011, actor Tom Hanks, the voice of Woody in the series, commented that he thought Pixar was already at work on a fourth film. However, that statement did not amount to much and the rumor fell by the wayside. Today, another rumor has emerged and this one is as unsubstantiated as they come. Find out more after the break!
