With the holidays around the corner comes the realization that awards season is rapidly approaching, which has studios scrambling to keep their films on voters’ minds. The most common approach for that is for studios to publish ‘For Your Consideration’ ads, which gently remind potential voters that their films should be in the running. Pixar’s Brave, which will likely be seriously considered for nominations in the animated feature and music categories, recently saw its first ‘FYC’ ad pblished and you can see it after the break!
Finding Nemo 3D is still a few weeks away from release in North America, but Monsters, Inc. 3D is not too far behind. You likely will not see posters for Monsters in theater lobbies until Nemo has arrived, but we have a sneak peek at the poster you will be seeing. Take a look at the great poster after the break!

In North America, Disney and Pixar have mostly protected us from the main story aspects of Brave. On my trip to Disney World a few weeks ago, I toured the Magic of Disney Animation building at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where Disney/Pixar has put up a nice amount of Brave pre-production artwork. Outside of the Brave exhibit was a poster for Monsters University, likely the first place it has been seen out in the wild (outside of Pixar and Disney office buildings). While the title treatment was released last May, we had not seen it in poster form until now. Check out the poster after the jump! [Read more…]
The creative characters and imaginative worlds of Pixar films provide plenty of opportunity for artists to create something special. Wonchan Lee has done just that, designing minimalist posters for several characters from films such as Up, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story, and The Incredibles. The first poster for the film received a bit of a mixed reaction, as it was very mysterious and did not provide any hints as to the storyline of the film. However, I believe that this new poster not only provides tidbits about the story, but it also does it with some style. Courtesy of iTunes Movie Trailers, take a look at the great-looking poster after the jump. [Read more…]
