We are now less than two weeks away from the premiere of the new Monsters University short, Party Central, which is set to play with Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted. Originally scheduled to release with Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur this summer, the short was moved up after the dinosaur film was pushed to next year. This move is actually good for Party Central, as it is closer in proximity now to last summer’s MU, and the film is still somewhat fresh in viewers’ minds. Today, a new poster and clip for the short was released – view them both after the break!

Preview: Limited Edition Pixar Posters Coming From Mondo
Mondo has become the face of the movement to create limited-edition posters of films. Designing great posters requires the ability to tell a short story about what viewers can expect through a limited amount of space. Setting out to develop posters for classic films, when millions have seen them and have grown fond of them, is not as easy as it sounds, but Mondo has quite a number of talented and creative artists by its side. New limited-edition Pixar posters are coming soon, including for WALL-E and Up. Take a peek at them after the break! (UPDATE: Online sale info has been added at the end of the post!)
Confirmed: ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Poster Was Not Released By Disney/Pixar
On Saturday, many woke up to the news that a new poster for The Good Dinosaur had been released. However, things just did not add up. As I pointed out when we posted the image, it would be questionable for Disney/Pixar to release a poster for a film two years down the line when the film next in line (Inside Out) still had not had a poster released. Studios tend to work in an orderly fashion, and promoting film number two before number one would be bizarre. Additionally, the website listed on the poster is not live, making it obvious that the poster was not meant to be released – not yet at least. Today, we have confirmation that the poster was not released by Pixar.
Teaser Poster For ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Leaks Out
Last month, Pixar delayed the release of The Good Dinosaur by approximately 18 months, leaving 2014 without any feature film from the studio. The announcement of the significant delay came eight months before the film was due in theaters, which must have left other units within Disney and Pixar, like their consumer products divisions, scrambling. New plans had to be developed in how the film would be marketed, and when new products and tie-ins would appear. A new teaser poster for the film is now making the rounds online, and it gives us a great look at the main characters of the film. Take a look after the break!
New ‘Toy Story of Terror’ Poster Released
With movie theaters proving to be a consistently strong venue for Pixar, the studio is set to reach its audience through another means next month: television. The animation studio has released Cars shorts on the Disney Channel in recent years, but an upcoming half-hour special, Toy Story of Terror, will be the first true measure of whether the airwaves can be as viable for Pixar as movie theaters have historically been. Given the sheer popularity of the cast of toys, the special could just pave the way for the studio to develop other television specials in the future. After the break, take a look at a promo poster which was just unveiled earlier today.
New ‘Monsters University’ Poster Is Packed With Monsters
Aside from Mike and Sulley and the few nameless monsters we caught in the Monsters University teaser trailer last year, we were unsure of who else the film’s cast would include. Surely, with the film taking place on a college campus, the students would play an essential role. At Toy Fair a few weeks back, Disney/Pixar detailed several of the new characters that we would see in the prequel film. Today, a new poster has been unveiled and it is packed to the brim with characters. Take a look at the poster after the break!
New ‘Monsters University’ Character Posters [Updated]
During last week’s Toy Fair presentation, Monsters University director Dan Scanlon and producer Kori Rae unveiled several new characters that made up the fraternity that Mike and Sulley would join, Oozma Kappa. While we captured some pictures of the characters, we have been awaiting hi-res images that we could share with you. A slew of new character posters were released earlier today, which you can take a closer look at after the break!
Fantastic Design For ‘The Blue Umbrella’ Poster
The Blue Umbrella, the newest short from Pixar, just had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. Those who attended the special screening had a chance to participate in a Q&A with the director of the short film, Saschka Unseld. They were also the first to take a look at the film’s poster, which has a creative and fantastic design element. You can take a closer look at the poster after the break!
International ‘Monsters University’ Poster Revealed
On the heels of this morning’s reveal of the new Monsters University poster that will be gracing theaters across the United States and Canada, an international poster for the film has also made its way online. Rather than character poses, it features what may be a still from the prequel film. Take a look at the French poster after the break!
New ‘Monsters University’ Teaser Poster Features College-Age Mike and Sulley
Monsters, Inc. is a film that is beloved by many, with its hilarious characters, touching story, and of course, introduction of one of the most adorable girls to ever be seen on the big screen, Boo. Its prequel, Monsters University, which will be premiering more than 11 years after the original film, will bring us the story of when Mike and Sulley were rivals in college – that means no Boo to enchant audiences. However, it looks like Mike and Sulley may be able to carry the film on their own this time, especially in the hilarity department – take a look at the new humorous MU teaser poster after the break!
