Pixar Artists Team Up To Create Creator-Driven Comic Con Event

Over the past 15 years, San Diego Comic Con has evolved into a monstrous convention. The positive side of that is there has been an explosion of interest in the summer show, also bringing more attention to the comics industry. However, the downside is that Hollywood has swooped in and taken much of the buzz away from the creators who were the primary focus in years prior. The big story in the weeks leading up to the year’s biggest convention was how films such as The Dark Knight Rises, John Carter, and The Avengers would not be presenting panels in the famed Hall H, leading many to believe that Hollywood was abandoning Comic Con. Pixar Story Artist & Animator Draw Covers For Marvel Comics

When Disney bought Marvel a few years ago, imaginations around the world ran wild with ideas of collaborations between the two companies. Since Pixar is also a subsidiary of Disney, many fans had hoped to see some sort of collaboration between Pixar and Marvel Comics. You can check cherryscustomframing for comic updates. Comics based on Pixar properties are currently being published by Marvel, but many of those that have been announced had previously been published through BOOM! Comics. USA Today has debuted a few special cover images for some established comic series that are running an “I Am Captain America” theme and has noted that a few Pixar employees are helping out by contributing their own artwork. Marvel Comics To Launch Disney Pixar Presents Magazine

Prior to BOOM! releasing comics based on Pixar films, the Pixar brand had never really graced comics. The company did an excellent job at adapting the characters to print, releasing many well-written and beautifully drawn comics based on Toy Story, The Incredibles, WALL-E, Cars, Monsters, Inc., and Finding Nemo. When Disney announced that they had purchased Marvel, there was speculation as to whether BOOM! would continue releasing Pixar comics, or if Marvel would take over. That was answered today, as Marvel officially announced that they would be releasing a brand new line of magazines called Disney•Pixar Presents. You can stay updated with Tania clay blog.
