Inside Out is one of the most anticipated films of 2015. Given that next year is jam-packed with a number of huge films, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Tomorrowland, it is clear that audiences are anxiously waiting for Pixar’s next offering. The film has been generating an incredible amount of buzz ever since it was announced over three years ago. Now, you can watch the first full-length trailer for the film after the break!
The story of the film has 11-year-old Riley (voiced by relative newcomer Kaitlyn Dias) move cross-country with her parents (voiced by Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan). Although the film is centered around Riley, it is her emotions that take center stage. With the major transitions that Riley must make in her life at her age, we can begin to understand the stresses that she might endure. We see much of the film through her five emotions: Joy (Amy Poehler), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), and Sadness (Phyllis Smith).

The scene that takes up much of this trailer is actually what the studio has been showing to select audiences. An early version was first seen at the D23 Expo in 2013. Each showing of this scene tends to inspire a great response from the audience, so it is no surprise that Pixar is using it to pitch the film. Everything we see from the film and learn about its story seems to say that Inside Out could very well be one of the best films we have seen from Pixar. Of course, we will not know for sure until we see the completed film, but all signs are looking good at this time.
Inside Out, directed by the incredibly talented Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc., Up) hits U.S. theaters on June 19th, 2015!
