We are just over six months away from the release of Pixar’s Inside Out. There is increased interest in the film, as it is the first film from director Pete Docter since he masterfully directed Up (2009), and it will be the first feature film from the studio since Monsters University was released in the summer last year. A good deal of buzz is currently attached to the film, as scenes that have been previewed around the world have earned rave reviews from audiences. You will not have to wait much longer to see more from the film online as a new trailer is coming this week! (UPDATE: A brief video clip announcing the trailer has been added at the end of the post.)
Buried in today’s USA Today article about the addition of Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan to the film’s cast (you can read our coverage here), it says that “the first trailer [will debut] Wednesday.”
The only film footage that we have seen so far came in the form of a teaser trailer, which mostly focused on Pixar’s previous films. We got a few glimpses into how the emotions interact with one another as well as how the mind looks on the inside. You can watch that teaser here as you wait in anticipation for the trailer:
UPDATE (12/9): Pixar has released a brief clip of the emotions interacting with one another. It is safe to say that the animation is not from the film, but is likely just a piece created by employees at the studio to help in the promotion process. Watch the humorous video below:
Inside Out makes its way into theaters on June 19th, 2015 but you can head back to the site on Wednesday to see the brand new trailer as we will certainly see some more footage!
