I’m no stranger to cute artwork. So, I was thrilled when artist Pamela Barbieri agreed to contribute a piece to PixArt. Pamela has a real knack for creating appealing, whimsical characters. Whether it’s her take on Disney characters or her own adorable creations, Pamela’s personal style and color palette shine through every design. Take a look at her blog for some inspirational examples of her work. She’s shared some great posts that show her creative process. Our thanks to Pamela for contributing this precious piece – a tribute to the little ones in the Pixar universe. Done in her signature style, these little cuties have never been more appealing!

Tell us about your piece:
It was hard to come up with an idea to illustrate. Pixar has an amazing list of wonderful films and I couldn’t just choose one. So I decided to do a mash-up with several characters that I love.
Who/What inspires you?
Almost everything. I can totally list old classic movies, pin-up girls, Disney Art, Mucha, the talented and beloved Quino, Akira Toriyama, black and white photography. The list goes on and on…
