There are many reasons why Ratatouille is a great film – its story, memorable characters, and, of course, its music. Michael Giacchino, composer for the film, had previously worked with director Brad Bird on The Incredibles, and has gone on to collaborate on other Pixar projects. Giacchino has also worked on the music for Disney attractions Space Mountain and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. The worlds of Disney and Pixar are crashing together with Ratatouille: The Ride coming to Disneyland Paris this year, and Giacchino is returning to compose the music for that as well!
It is always a pleasure when artists return to collaborate on future endeavors of a property. Giacchino has formed a strong relationship with both Pixar and Disney – he is also scoring the music for Bird’s live-action Disney film, Tomorrowland – and his return clearly demonstrates his passion for the properties to which he has contributed. He has left indelible marks on the films that he has composed music for, including The Incredibles, Up, and Ratatouille, and he really is the best person to work on the score for attractions based on them.
Giacchino just shared the following on Instagram:
I cannot wait to hear his great score for the attraction, which will hopefully be released by Disney in some downloadable form.
Ratatouille: The Ride arrives at Disneyland Paris this summer!
