New ‘Toy Story’ Themed Toy Boxes Hit Disney Infinity

November 7, 2013 by Samad Rizvi Leave a Comment

Disney Infinity has proven to be incredibly popular, with sets and figures often selling out at retailers. Recently, it was announced that the gaming platform had sold through over 1 million units, effectively branding the venture a great success for Disney Interactive and developer Avalanche Software. With the holidays rapidly approaching, and the hunt for gifts beginning, sales are just ramping up, especially as Disney has continued to pledge updates and new content. Each week, new Toy Boxes are uploaded for gamers to download (for free!) and explore, providing significantly more replay value than we have come to expect from games in this age. Today, several Toy Story-themed Toy Boxes have been unleashed, and you can take a look at them after the break!

Although Disney initially added developer-designed Toy Boxes out of the gate, it was more of an inspiration for the creative gamers out there to create their own themes. Disney Infinity called for players to develop Toy Story-themed Toy Boxes, some of which have been selected as the best. They include a recreation of Andy’s Room, the secret lab of Zurg, and even the dump seen in the third act of Toy Story 3. They clearly took a serious amount of dedication to create, obviously a result of the passion Disney Infinity has spawned.

The descriptions of five Toy Boxes, along with images of their appearance follow:

The BIG Room:

When the kids are away, the toys will play! A truly remarkable recreation of Andy’s room from Toy Story.
