Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World celebrates the golden age of the film industry, with its beautiful structures and classic theme. The park grounds used to house the home of Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida, which was responsible for the development of such films as Mulan and Lilo & Stitch. That production building was later converted into an attraction where guests can visit and learn how Disney animated characters come to life. There is also a showroom inside that displays concept art for upcoming films. Monsters University concept art was recently added, and you can take a look at the beautiful pieces after the break!
Over the past few years, the Magic of Disney Animation attraction, which focuses on giving visitors a behind-the-scenes look at Disney animated films, a wide collection of concept art for upcoming Pixar films were unveiled several months before the films’ release. This year, though, Disney/Pixar seems to have kept Monsters University concept art under wraps for longer, as the film is scheduled to bow in less than two months.
The above image, which comes from Disney Lifestylers on Twitter, has a mixture of concept art we have already seen and previously unseen pieces which include more character studies and more looks at the school campus. Attractions Magazine also shot video of the exhibit, which gives us a closer look at the pieces. Take a look below:
Gorgeous, aren’t they? The artwork should be on display for at least the next few months.
Monsters University is set for nationwide release on June 21.
