Reactions are flying to today’s big announcement that Pixar is officially developing a Finding Nemo sequel titled Finding Dory. The film will center on the character that Ellen Degeneres famously played in the original film. With the sequel film still over two years from release, director Andrew Stanton and the cast are sure to remain tight-lipped on substantial details. Degeneres did speak about the film, though, on her show earlier today, which you can watch after the break!
While she does not reveal any details that were not already present in the press release, she presents a humorous collection of the numerous times she asked (translation: begged) Pixar to work on a follow-up to the first film, which earned over $900 million worldwide, a remarkable feat.

As Degeneres points out, there has been no bigger champion for a second film than her. The character of Dory is forever linked to Degeneres because she had such a memorable turn as the blue tang the first time around.
Finding Dory is slated to hit theaters on November 25, 2015, which will separate the sequel from the first film by over 12 years.
