After Disney/Pixar screened the teaser trailer for Monsters University at CinemaCon 2012, we had our confirmation that it would play in theaters along with Brave. Viewing teasers for the upcoming Pixar film while watching the current one has become somewhat of a tradition. However, the question of when the teaser for the prequel film would premiere online still remained. We seem to have our answer now – 5 days from now.
The Facebook page for Monsters University has teased us with the following:
You’re about to discover a bit more about Mike and Sulley’s days at Monsters University.
I think it is safe to say that this refers to the arrival of the teaser, which I have heard centers on college pranks. After being told that this would be Pixar’s take on the college film, the teaser should be a great setup for the film’s story.
Check back here in 5 days (if I can count, that is Wednesday) for the premiere of the teaser trailer!
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.
