‘Monsters University’ Poster Goes Up At Disney World

March 22, 2012 by Samad Rizvi 1 Comment

On my trip to Disney World a few weeks ago, I toured the Magic of Disney Animation building at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where Disney/Pixar has put up a nice amount of Brave pre-production artwork. Outside of the Brave exhibit was a poster for Monsters University, likely the first place it has been seen out in the wild (outside of Pixar and Disney office buildings). While the title treatment was released last May, we had not seen it in poster form until now. Check out the poster after the jump!

The only thing missing is the release date, which is currently set at June 21, 2013.

Here is the official synopsis of the prequel film:

Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.

Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.

To refresh your memory, Disney will be releasing Monsters, Inc. 3D into theaters a few months before, on January 18, 2013.
