The first (and only) Brave footage that has been publicly unveiled was the teaser trailer that arrived with Cars 2 way back in June. That was about five months ago. While Pixar showcased a few scenes from the highly-aniticipated film at the D23 Expo in August (you can read about the scenes here), attendees were the only ones who got a glimpse at them. With Disney’s The Muppets coming to theatres the day before Thanksgiving, it is the most likely time for a new Brave trailer to drop.
Add in the fact that Pixar’s newest Toy Story Toon, Small Fry, is screening with The Muppets, and the likelihood of a new trailer is even higher. The full-length trailer for Cars 2 was released in November of last year, which means if Pixar follows a similar timeline, a Brave trailer is due.
Fast-forward a few months to March 2012, when Disney is releasing Andrew Stanton‘s John Carter, and we will likely see the following Brave trailer. The Cars sequel similarly also received a new trailer in March. But, we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
We await final confirmation from Disney/Pixar on the prospects of a full-length Brave trailer later this month. Needless to say, chances are very high. We should start hearing more about it over the next few weeks, as press screenings are currently taking place.
Toy Story – Small Fry and The Muppets hit U.S. and Canadian theatres on November 23.
