A few years ago, there was a decision made that the soundtrack for Up would not be getting a physical CD release. Depending on your preference for formats, you may have been deeply saddened by the news – many collectors were certainly heartbroken about it. There has been an exciting development in relation to this, as we have just learned of a limited-edition CD release for the Michael Giacchino-scored soundtrack! Read on for details on the number of CDs that have been produced and more importantly, how you can get your hands on one of them.
Intrada partnered with Disney to produce the CD, which is the first of many CDs that will be released featuring music from previous Disney films (via Pixar Talk). The CD features all of the 26 tracks that were released through digital download services such as iTunes. While the $19.99 price for the physical version is twice the amount one can get it for through download, this is aimed purely at collectors as there are only 10,000 of the CDs being made.
You can now cry to a higher quality of Giacchino’s majestic “Married Life” arrangement anywhere you have a CD player.
