In order to adapt films to fit their target audience, various regions around the world often alter the title to films. This is nothing new. Obviously, Brave is a very English adjective so it will likely receive many name changes worldwide. Bleeding Cool has unearthed the title and logo for the film in Germany, and we think it’s pretty cool. The texture of the logo is similar, but with the letter placement, certain aspects had to be moved around. Read on to take a look at the logo for Merida: Legende Der Highlands.
Cool, right? It is always fun to see what other regions do with the film. They even gave it a subtitle! – Legende Der Highlands (which loosely translates to Legend of the Highlands).
Germany will be seeing the titular character’s name, Princess Merida, in the title, while we have the extremely simple Brave. Similar to the title treatment that we have seen on our shores, the ‘M’ and ‘A’ letters feature little easter eggs – Merida and her mother.
In North America, Brave hits theaters on June 22, 2012!
