One search on Fandango and MovieTickets.com and you will notice that showtimes for Cars 2 are beginning to be posted. On top of that, tickets to those showtimes have officially gone on sale for the film, which is due for release in just a couple weeks. While it had not been confirmed before but was widely assumed, we can now officially say that some theaters will have midnight showings for those seeking a more immediate form of gratification and need to watch Pixar’s latest at 12:01 AM.
As previously announced, the film will also be playing in IMAX theaters around the country. Given that Cars 2 is going to be a gorgeous film, seeing it on as big a screen as possible is not a bad idea. However, the technologically advanced format is not available everywhere, so if you want IMAX tickets, it might be a good idea to seek out tickets early.
