Disney/Pixar France has unveiled a beautiful new poster for Pixar’s new short, La Luna, which just debuted at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival yesterday. According to director Enrico Casarosa, the short was the final film of the festival’s opening night, which we are sure was a great honor. Take a look at the simple yet dazzling hi-res poster for the short.
Our favorite part that is an incredible touch to the image? The character’s eyes. Notice the shapes? Like we said – incredible.
We cannot wait to see La Luna, but it may be a while. It has just hit the festival circuit and will slowly make its way around the world, likely building a great deal of buzz around it. Since Pixar usually releases its original shorts with its feature films, it will probably debut in theaters worldwide with Brave in 2012. That may be a lot of waiting, but everything we have heard points to this being well worth the wait.
