The Pixar Times Celebrates Its First Birthday

June 1, 2011 by Samad Rizvi 6 Comments

Last year, during the wait for Toy Story 3, a name popped into my head. The Pixar Times. I had been contemplating starting a Pixar blog for a few months, but I did not feel I had the time. I am currently in graduate school studying for a doctorate in clinical psychology and I work part-time as a manager in retail. However, once I happened upon a name for the blog, I knew I had to make time and go ahead and take the plunge. At first, I simply started a Twitter account where I shared links to other sites covering Pixar news. Soon, that was not that exciting anymore and I felt like I needed more. On June 1, 2010, The Pixar Times officially launched with this post (which seems so long ago) sharing my enthusiasm for the future. While there is much work to be done, I am enthusiastic that I have been able to attain some of those goals.

I have met some incredible people, both in the fan community and within Pixar Animation Studios and I can honestly say that they have changed my life for the better.

At this point, Jerrod, the art director for the blog, and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has been a part of the growth of The Pixar Times. None of this would have been possible if you did not read and view what we spend long hours working on and we are extremely grateful.

There is plenty more Pixar goodness that is headed your way, so sit back and enjoy!
