A few days ago, Disney Interactive released a clip of a teaser trailer for “Disney Universe,” a game that takes characters on a ride through the worlds of Disney and Pixar. While Disney still remains mum on the gameplay, they have released a few more details about the game and a full teaser trailer. With the tagline and the music focusing on suiting up, it looks like players will be able to suit up in costume as one of 40+ characters from Disney and Pixar films, such as Mike Wazowski from the Monsters, Inc. franchise. Read on to take a look at the trailer and when the game might be seeing its release!
The official website for the game provides the following description:
Disney Universe is an off-the-wall non-stop action adventure where Disney worlds and characters mix up for the first time. Suit up in iconic costumes and face challenges in legendary Disney worlds. Defeat enemies, collect coins and powerups, unlock new costumes and explore with friends as you battle in a mix-up of worlds inspired by numerous Disney and Pixar films.
- Suit-up for action as more than 40 classic and contemporary Disney characters including Alice, Mike, TRON and Stitch.
- Mischief, magic and mayhem reign as players explore 6 different worlds inspired by Disney and Pixar films.
- Team up with up to four friends to solve puzzles or defeat enemies or toss your friend into trouble!
It is great to know that while players are trying to save the universe, the game will employ a nice sense of humor along the way!
Disney Interactive has not released an official release date yet, solely saying Fall 2011, but Amazon has listed the game for release on October 31, a day that just happens to be the most popular for costume-wearing. Coincidence? We think not!
