First Look: Pixar 25th Anniversary Logo

May 12, 2011 by Samad Rizvi Leave a Comment

When I was invited to Pixar last month to preview Cars 2 and the new short, Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation, I got a glimpse of a new logo created specifically for Pixar’s 25th Anniversary. Appearing on screen following the famous Pixar logo reveal where Luxo, Jr. stomps on the letter ‘I’ before settling in its place, the Anniversary logo will play before Cars 2 throughout the world. As the studio has earned the right to celebrate an illustrious 25 years of existence, it is great to see Pixar sharing in the celebration with audiences. Now, I am pleased to be able to share the beautiful logo with you. Read on to take a look!

The logo was designed by Andy Dreyfus. Featuring a minimalist yet very appealing design, the Pixar mainstays, Luxo, Jr. and his ball simply had to make an appearance to the 25th Anniversary party. It would not feel right without them!

You can expect to see the “Celebrating 25 Years” logo with Cars 2 when it hits theaters on June 24, 2011!
