Scott Clark, who has previously served as a supervising animator on such Pixar films as Cars and Up, is back at it again as he announced earlier today that he is “supervising the animation team on Monsters University.” The only other crew member that has been officially announced for the film is Dan Scanlon, who is directing the film for release in 2013.
Clark sent out a few tweets earlier today confirming his new role:
Since it was announced a couple weeks ago I can talk about what I'm working on. I'm supervising the animation team on "Monsters University".

And working with the very funny, very talented @MrDanScanlon, who is directing "Monsters University".

This is a reunion of sorts for Scanlon and Clark, who worked in the same roles on a previous film together: the Mater and the Ghostlight short (which can be seen in high-definition on the Cars Blu-ray/DVD set being released Tuesday). Monsters University may not be out for another two years, but knowing how beloved the original film is to many and thinking about how many directions the creative team can take the imaginative Monsters world, it is an exciting time. The confirmation of very talented crew members only adds to that excitement.
Monsters University is set to hit theaters on June 13, 2013!
