The art books that Chronicle Books collaborates on with Pixar are always spectacular. If it weren’t for these great books, many of the pieces of artwork created during production of Pixar films would go unseen by the general public. With Cars 2 set to debut in June, the accompanying art book will likely be another fantastic view into the minds of the artists at the studio.
Recently, Chronicle unveiled the final cover design for “The Art of Cars 2“, which you can see here.
Featuring the streets of Tokyo on the cover highlights the stunning visual aspect seen in the images and trailers for the film that have been released so far. I have a feeling that the characters’ time in Japan will include some of the most fantastic visuals seen in a Pixar film.
The final release date for the $40.00 hardcover has not yet been confirmed, but it will likely fall sometime in May. Can you say “Must-Buy”?
