Toy Story 3‘s got some serious awards season momentum behind it now! The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures announced their 2010 award winners today and Pixar once again captured the top animation prize this year, as Toy Story 3 was chosen by the board as the Best Animated Feature of the year.
The animation powerhouse has taken top honors in the category for five straight years, which is an astonishing feat. The year 2005 being their only loss in recent memory, Pixar has also won the award seven out of the last eight years:
- 2010 – Toy Story 3
- 2009 – Up
- 2008 – Wall-E
- 2007 – Ratatouille
- 2006 – Cars
- 2005 – Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride
- 2004 – The Incredibles
- 2003 – Finding Nemo
Toy Story 3 was also picked by the board as part of their Ten Best Films of the year:
- Another Year
- The Fighter
- Hereafter
- Inception
- The King’s Speech
- Shutter Island
- The Town
- Toy Story 3
- True Grit
- Winter’s Bone
