When I launched The Pixar Times, I wanted a way to express to visitors what they could expect from the blog: Pixar news, previews, and reviews. The original logo was meant to remind readers of the logos used for newspapers. However, over time I realized that it did not express the fun aspect of Pixar. The simple logo has been scratched and replaced with one symbolizing the joy Pixar Animation Studios brings to the world.
I have to thank illustrator Jerrod Maruyama, who worked tirelessly to design a great new logo for The Pixar Times Blog. He is the kindest of individuals who has the special ability to create wonderful artwork and designs. His artwork was recently seen on a t-shirt sold exclusively at the Pixar Studio Store in Emeryville, CA. Here is a peek at his newest piece:
