When production has wrapped, Pixar directors have given cool gifts to their team in order to show appreciation for all of the hard work put in bringing films to the screen. Director Lee Unkrich, who is a known Tiki-aficionado, gave the Toy Story 3 crew Tiki Mugs (with Buzz on one side and Woody on the other). There are only 500 in existence, and seeing how great they look likely means their owners won’t want to part ways with them. Bottom line, don’t expect to come into ownership of one unless you work at Pixar!
Another great exclusive collectible is the Complete Toy Story 3 Soundtrack, which was made for Pixar employees. All of the music that Randy Newman scored did not end up in the film, as composers put together arrangements that do not make the final cut due to constraints of the film’s length. The Toy Story 3 soundtrack released to the public included 17 songs. However, the Complete Toy Story 3 Soundtrack contains the entire score that Randy Newman recorded, making this another amazing exclusive. It is unknown how many were made.
These items continue the great gift-giving tradition at Pixar, and helps to remind us that happy employees lead to better employees. Pixar has that idea covered pretty well.
UPDATE: Here are some more details about the Complete Toy Story 3 Pixar Crew Exclusive soundtrack:
