Awesome: Hilarious ‘Finding Nemo 3D’ No Talking PSA

When filmmakers put together a movie, they try to fully immerse the audience into the storyline – great films are able to transport us out of the theater and into the film world so that actors are no longer actors, but the characters they are portraying. However, even a great film is susceptible to distractions within a theater, such as talking and smartphone usage. Disney/Pixar has teamed up with AMC to create an awesome new PSA that shows us the danger of talking on a mobile phone while a film such as Finding Nemo 3D is playing. Watch the hilarious PSA after the break!

Andrew Stanton Chimes In On ‘Finding Nemo 2′ Speculation

Finding Nemo

Yesterday, the Internet was whipped up into a frenzy over the news that director Andrew Stanton had developed an idea for a follow-up to his Oscar-winning Finding Nemo. The big news took over Twitter yesterday, becoming a top trending topic for much of the day, and generated thousands of comments across the web. Stanton stayed quiet on the speculation until late yesterday when he tweeted a semi-response. Find out what he said after the break! [Read more...]

‘Finding Nemo 2′ Reportedly In Development

Andrew Stanton has a fantastic track record at Pixar, having directed Oscar winners Finding Nemo and WALL-E. He ventured into live-action recently with John Carter, which was dubbed a flop before it even made it into theaters but still made around $300 million worldwide. It may have lost Disney money, but it was a notably ambitious take on the Edgar Rice Burroughs series that many tried to bring to the big screen yet failed. Now, in the shadow of Finding Nemo 3D‘s release in September, there are reports that Andrew Stanton has returned full-time to Pixar and is working on bringing a sequel to Finding Nemo to theaters in 2016. Hidden City Cafe

Hidden City Cafe is well-known in Pixar lore, as it is the location of a very special lunch that studio employees had – a lunch where they came up with the ideas for four of its films. Andrew Stanton, John Lasseter, Pete Docter, and Joe Ranft (RIP) gathered for a memorable meal at the cafe, as they outlined ideas that went on to become A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, and WALL-E. The cafe has often been visited by Pixar fans, to get a taste of the birthplace of so many of the studio’s films. Finding Nemo‘s Dori (EDIT: doh! – meant Dory) is considered one of the funniest characters in the Pixar film catalog, with much of the credit going to the voice delivery by Ellen Degeneres. With Finding Nemo 3D coming to theatres in September of this year, as pointed out by Upcoming Pixar, Ellen decided to feature the film with a spot on her daytime talk show. You can tell that not everything is as it seems when Ellen introduces an ‘updated’ clip from the film. Check it out here! [Read more...]

Bud Luckey

Yesterday, Disney and Pixar announced that both Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. would return to theaters to play in the 3D format. On a different front, we have another video, but this one is grounded in the real world. A young boy named Evan in Billings, Montana, who is seeking a heart transplant, received a visit from retired Pixar animator Bud Luckey. Needless to say, it is pretty emotional.
