First Look: Brave Concept Art. Also, Behind-the-Scenes Changes.

EW.com has an exclusive first look at some concept art for Brave, Disney/Pixar’s 13th feature film, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters in the summer of 2012. A few years ago, there were a few pieces of artwork that were released when the film was first announced, but in a matter of a few years the look of a film can change. These new pieces of artwork remind us that while Brave is Pixar’s first fairytale, the studio is not looking to deliver your usual princess film. More Newt Concept Art Hits The Web

Last year, Pixar made a fascinating choice and released concept art for newt, a film project the studio had been working on for a good while but ultimately decided to cancel. Displayed on the Facebook page for Disney/Pixar, the artwork was a great view behind the doors of the animation company, but also made the public long for more. Cars 2 Concept Art Showcases Re-imagined Landmarks

ComingSoon.net exclusively debuted a few pieces of concept art for Cars 2. These are a bit different from the previous conceptual artwork that was unveiled by Disney a few months ago, as these look specifically at how the artists at Pixar reworked some of the famous landmarks that will be seen in the upcoming Cars film.

Cars 2 Plot Details

Along with the 4 pieces of concept art for Cars 2 released by Disney/Pixar on Wednesday, we also got some more plot details for the upcoming film. Below, you will find concept art of different locales around the world, followed by brief plot descriptions from that portion of the film (and the film as a whole). They are not specific plot details, but if you would rather go into the film with zero knowledge about the plot, beware of very minor spoilers:

“CARS 2” GOES GLOBAL – Star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) heads overseas next summer to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the fastest car on the planet. Cars 2 Concept Art Released

Concept Art From Canceled newt Released

Recently, it came to light that Pixar had stopped production on newt, a film whose storyline revolved around two newts who were the last of their kind and needed to mate in order to assure the survival of their species. It has been unclear as to why the film was cancelled.
