Tell us about your piece:
Well, I recently saw Up, and was very moved by it, though it’s not my favorite Pixar film, it’s in my top three. I love Mr. Fredrickson and I wanted to place him in a Yema-type environment. Yema is about chaos and fun colorful creatures, so I wanted to blend both a Pixar character and some yema action. I think it turned out chaotic but still lovely and friendly.
Who or what inspires you?
Other artists, nature, friends, my son – really anything that surrounds me.
