The Hollywood Reporter has been conducting roundtable discussions with award contenders recently. This is a notable year for animation, as there have been several high-quality animated films released. As a result, THR has put together a discussion with filmmakers for their first ever Awards Watch with animators. Six individuals from several studios were brought in:
- Bonnie Arnold (producer, How To Train Your Dragon)
- Roy Conli (producer, Tangled)
- Bob Last (producer, The Illusionist)
- Tom McGrath (director, Megamind)
- Chris Meledandri (producer, Despicable Me)
- Lee Unkrich (director, Toy Story 3)
